If you are new to WordPress or set up a new WordPress website, want to install a theme using a zip file then follow the easy steps to do it yourself:

First, download a free or premium WordPress theme on your computer.

1. Login to your WordPress website admin dashboard
2. Go to the Themes menu: Appearance - Themes
3. At top of the page click on "Add New" button
4. After redirection, another button will appear on top "Upload Theme" click on that button
5. It will show a screen to locate and upload the theme zip file, now click on the "Choose File" button and select the theme zip file from your local computer drive.
6. Click on the "Install Now" button to start the theme installation. After that, your theme zip file will upload to your website and WordPress will unpack the zip file and install the theme in your theme directory.
7. Now you can click on the "Activate" link to activate the theme on your website and visit your website to see how new theme looks like at the frontend.
