In this Commix and More video tutorial, we are going to install Audacity 2.1.3 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. This how to video can also be applied to other Ubuntu-based operating systems like Ubuntu Mate, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Lubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.

This video uses Eskwela OS, an Ubuntu 16.04 based distribution.


The video shows you a step-by-step way of installing Audacity on your Ubuntu 16.04 machine.

INSTALLATION
Here are the commands you will enter on your terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/audacity

sudo apt update

sudo apt install audacity

And that is it! You can now run Audacity on your linux computer.

REMOVAL
In the event you want to uninstall Audacity, just type this line on the terminal:
sudo apt purge audacity

Audacity will be uninstalled on your system.
