This is was performed by a user not native to Linux, so will be friendly to beginners or those new to Linux. It also works for all other versions of DAoC but is specifically going through Eden as of 8/27/22. Since this is Alpha, the process may change in the future. If it does please leave a comment and I'll update the video! Hope this helps people looking to play DAoC while they travel, from their couch, or even at a friend's house.

This does NOT cover handheld mode, but that is very easy to go into Lutris and hit "Add steam shortcut" for the game. From there you can launch the game in Handheld mode and configure the controller to the button layout that you'd prefer. I was able to play a Sorcerer quite well in handheld mode (though I wont be winning any Mezz battles in 8v8 haha).
