How to invite friends in Minecraft (Mobile)
To play multiplayer in Minecraft Mobile, one player first needs to create or open a world. If you’re using an already existing world, tap the pencil (edit) icon, go to the Multiplayer settings, and make sure the “Multiplayer Game” option is enabled. If you’re planning to play through LAN, also turn on “Visible to LAN Players” before entering the world.
Next, ensure that both you and your friend have a working internet connection—this is often the simplest issue. Your friend should then open the Friends tab, where the hosted world should appear. If it doesn’t, confirm that you’ve both added each other as friends. To do this, sign in with your Microsoft account, search for your friend, and send a friend request.
If the world still doesn’t show up, try these fixes:
Update the game so both of you are on the same version.
Close and reopen the app on both devices.
If needed, reinstall Minecraft.
Switch roles: sometimes one device can host better than the other.
If you see the error “There was a problem with your connection”, and you’re using a legitimate copy of the game, check your internet speed. Try switching to Wi-Fi instead of mobile data for a more stable connection.
