So you have finally got your E3 Flasher and you just got finished installing it. So, instead of watching a video and trying to skip around to see what you need to do. So this is why I have made this post.

So, to start off… there is technically 6 Steps to this “Simple” process.

Step 1: To start off downgrading your PS3/PS3’s, you’re going to want to update your flasher. To start, insert your MicroSD card and Format it to FAT32, then drag the “update.bin” file to the MicroSD card. (You don’t need to, but I like to “eject” the SD card to be safe.) Once you have done all the above, put the triggers on the Flasher Board to: DOWN, DOWN, UP, UP, UP, UP. Power the PS3 on, and the LED bar should be moving from side to side in blue. Once the blue led’s are lit up, pull the power plug from the PS3. (This allows it to do a power cycle)

Step 2:*To start off Step 2, you’re are going to want to insert the MicroSD back into the computer and make sure it is empty (Format to FAT32 if the card is empty). With the MicroSD empty, eject it and put it back into the flasher slot. You’re going to set the triggers to: Down, Down, UP, Down, Down, Down. With all of this done, power the PS3 back on (If you have the Video Source plugged in, wait until it says the system error… if not, wait about 45 seconds). Once the 45 seconds has passed, click the start button on the E3 Flasher Board. This process shouldn’t take long, but if all is well, the blue led strip will be alternating. (If not, the blue led light strip will blink... Nothing is wrong, the e3 clip hasn’t been pushed down hard enough).

Step 3: Finally, we have got the backup. So, from here… we are going to do all the steps to allow your PS3 to be downgraded.

1) Take the “bkpps3.bin” and the “e3flasher” file from the MicroSD and make a folder somewhere that you can remember and name it “Backup”. YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP THESE INCASE YOU EVER BRICK!

2) Once you have these files backed up, you need to format the MicroSD again.

3) Open the PS3 Flash Tool v4.55 folder

4) Drag the “bkpps3.bin” and the “e3flasher” file from Backup folder into the PS3 Flash Tool Folder

5) Open the bkpps3.bin in Latest.exe (By dragging the file into the exe) If all goes well, you should get a GREEN okay!

6) With the GREEN OK! You now need to patch your bkpps3.bin (Drag the bkpps3.bin into the Patcher.exe file).

7) You will get a file output as bkpps3_NOR_patched.bin

Place the patched bkpps3.bin in the Backup folder, also in the MicroSD.

9) Inside the MicroSD rename the “bkpps3_NOR_patched.bin” to “bkpps3.bin” and remove the MicroSD from the Computer and place back into the E3 Flasher.

Step 4: This is practically the last step… Now, set the E3 Flasher triggers to: UP, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN. As before, wait until the System Error on the screen, or wait for the 45 seconds. Once

the 45 seconds has passed, press “Start” on the E3 board. This process takes like 10+ minutes, so you have to be patient. (If the Blue LED’s blink, reposition the clip on the motherboard again.)

Step 5: We can finally say we have finished our PS3. What you are going to want to do now is, put the PS3 complete back together and boot it up. It should boot into recovery asking for you to install a firmware 4.60 or higher. Now, we will install the Rogero 3.55 RSOD downgrader. Doing this will downgrade your PS3 back to 3.55 CFW. You’re going to want to install ToggleQA and Condor Update to be easier.
