How To Join The Xbox One Insider Program
Search for "Xbox" on the Xbox Live store.
Filter on "Apps" and download "Xbox Insider Hub".
Once it's downloaded, you open up the app and select "Join" to join the insider program.
You then click "Join" again to confirm that you want to be part of the insider program.
You then wait to be approved. Normally takes less that 72 hours.
Once you're approved, you open up the app.
You'll download a new system update which supports the new features which you are testing.
Once the update is complete, you'll see your profile.
You'll start at level 1 and you'll work your way up by completing tasks, questions, polls etc.
There are 4 preview rings which you can achieve being part of the Xbox Insider Program.
You start at preview ring 4 and you can work yourself through the 4 stages and the top stage is the Alpha program.
Ring 4 - Receive system updates one month. These updates usually come out just before the public receives them.
Ring 3 - Receive updates 2-3 times a months.
Ring 2 (Beta) - Receive 1-2 updates per week.
Ring 1 (Alpha) - Receive 2-3 updates per week, gaining access to new features.
Sometimes, Xbox will invite to a higher ring depending on how active you are.
