Steps:
- Open up whatsapp and open the group that you would like to leave.
- Now tap on the name of the group at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the options and you will see the option to ‘exit group’ tap on that.
- Tap ‘exit group’ again to confirm.
- You have now left that group and will no longer receive messages from it or be able to message in it yourself.
- You will still be able to see the group in your chats though, and read through previous messages.
- If you would like to delete the group also so you can no longer see it, then tap on the group name at the top again.
- Scroll down the options and tap ‘delete group’ at the bottom.
- You can decide to ‘archive instead’ here, if you would prefer to not be able to see the group all the time but still be able to view it in your archived chats.
- Tap ‘delete group’ the group has now been deleted off your whatsapp.
