How To Make a Bootable USB Using the Command Line in Ubuntu (dd with progress status)
1Have you ever wandered how to make a bootable usb flash drive without installing any fancy programs or software in Ubuntu?
In this Commix and More tutorial video, we are going to make a bootable usb flash drive WITHOUT installing anyghing. We are going to use dependable terminal to create that for us.
CAUTION: This method will erase all the contents of your flash drive.
The simple commands are written below:
sudo dd if=/location/of/your/iso/file.iso of=/location/of/your/usbdrive bs=4M progress=status
The command above will write your iso file to the usb flash drive you have provided.
