Q: I can't find any "mod" folder in the Starbound Dedicated Server folder.
A: Just create a folder called "mods" in the Starbound dedicated server.
Q: I get the error "Assets mismatch between client and server, and the override option is not set".
A: In the options menu, there is a checkbox that says "Allow Assets Mismatch". Tick the box and you'll be able to join (provided you have the mods).
Q: What about Starbound standalone (non-steam)?
A: Inside your starboundwin64, there should be a starbound_server.exe. Do a similar thing there. This will run the server using your universe files as well as any mods you have on there.
Q: How do I get my friends to connect?
A: Provided you have port forwarded, send them your public IP address (https://www.ipchicken.com/)
Q: How do I port forward?

Q: Are there any alternatives?
A: Hamachi, but I wouldn't recommend it. Both yourself and anyone that wants to join the server has to install Hamachi.
