Hey there peps, in this video ll be showing u how to download and install 'CHDK' on to your SD card to use in your Canon SX60-HS using the Java based Program 'Stick'.

its a fairly easy process just a simple point and click opp.

for a long time (1 month) ive been searching google and youtube looking for a tutorial that explains how to do this - i finally found (see the link below) one but the recording wasn't the best. The uploader diddnt full screen the program Stick and so some people couldn't read the text, and he diddnt leave any links or reference points or steps on what he was actually doing, neither did he explain any problems with the program its self like the glitching that i experienced (could just be a 'different firmware problem' - easy fix use one of the other firmware's 100b, 100c, 100d ) so i decided to make one my self....

and boy is it Cringy...its bad...i so need a better mic and editing software...but its my first attempt at a tutorial so please be kind n the comments lolz

Step 1:
Format ur SD card using ur camera then take a photo with it

Step 2:
Place the SD card into a external removable reader/writer
and plug it into ur computer/laptop

Step 3:
Locate ur camera SD card in explorer and look for the photo u took from step 1 in the folder DCIM, rename the pic to canon.jpg then copy it to ur desktop.

Step 4:
Download the program Stick, unzip it, then run the file 'Stickx.cmd'.
link in the description below.

Step 5:
In the 'image file' click on browse and select ur file 'canon.jpg' u copied over to the desktop n step 3
then click 'download' or 'use it'

Step 6:
in the new dialog box select the 'Scan for Cards?' button
then select ur SD card then click the 'continue to install' button

Step 7:
Click 'Install CHDK' the install process takes bout 10-20 seconds

Step 8:
Put the SD card back into your camera and turn it on, you will see a little welcome screen pop up

Step 9:
push the 'play back' button on the camera (beside the green light)
this activates the Script menu, then click the 'func/set' button on ya camera,

Step 10:
Using the arrow keys (the circle button around the func/set button) to navigate the menu select 'load script from file' then press the 'func/set' button and select the 'Interval.bas' file and press the 'func/set' button again

Step 11:
scroll down to the 'interval (sec) and use the left and right arrows to increase or decrease the time between the intervals then press the 'Menu' button on the camera.

Step 12:
setup ur tripod (it should all ready be setup), then press the 'shutter' button and it will start to take pics every (whatevea) second u set it up as....

Side note i could not find how to turn the zoom on in the script menu, for some reason u cant zoom and do a time lapse a the same time...oh well...

And thats how to do a time lapse on ur Canon SX60-HS instead of buying a intervalometer (Interval Timer (INTVL))
