This is a footage and tutorial video about my process to craft an ak 47 from cardboard. But with this tutorial will help you to craft any gun too. This is just a gun dummy that not shootable just a model. Watch and learn.

So, all you had to do is :
1. Focus & get started
Make sure you love gun and have ambition for crafting. With motivation and focus on crafting, you will finish it well of course.
If you don't have any cardboard i recommend you to go to the packing store. Dont worry, usually the cardboards prices must be very cheap. They sells new and good quality cardboard boxes. Choose the 30 cm's size and don't choose the thick or too thick cardboard, choose the thin.
2. Sizing 1 : 1
First, you need to have the gun image and the gun data (length size) you want and then Import the gun image on grid application like what I did in this video.
3. Drawing the Gun with Grid
Draw the gun image + grid on the cardboard and make sure your drawing is the same as possible like what it is in the grid application. Cut the drawing and be bloody careful for better result.
4. Mastering The Gun You Want To Craft
Its an primary thing to master and understand the gun shapes first, every small part of the weapon before start crafting and you could take days to master the gun shapes first before start crafting. Yes, shape, detail and how realistic it is the most important to make your gun looks bloody good. And then the gun working parts are secondary. Visit sketchfab or any 3d gun website to see the gun on every angel. You can also watch a weapon review on youtube to learn the gun shape, parts and details.
5. Deadline
Make a deadline. With this it will challenging yourself and it will more guarantee you that you will finished the crafting.


NB : if you are a beginner and this is difficult you could focus on making the gun without making the gun parts works. Focus on modelling only. Craft shape result is priority (detail, looks similiar and real sized, smooth and clean) thats why you will keep your replica for a long time and if people sees your cardboard gun it won't hurt their eyes or theyre not gonna laugh out bloody loud to your cardboard shit.

Get started but dont force yourself too hard, enjoy the process. And be careful when using glue, you dont have to craft your own hands with glue, safety first.
