This episode, we are cooking the quintessential Japanese Dish, Pork Katsudon.

Katsudon is traditionally consumed by Japanese students the night prior to their entrance exams as the word "katsu" sounds very close to the phrase "to win". For me, a Japanese restaurant that can't prepare Katsudon properly cannot be called such. Just my thoughts though.


Ingredients:
Pork Chop/ Cutlet
Salt
Pepper
Flour
Eggs (for breading and for incorporating in broth)
Panko
Pork Bullion cube (half)
Light Soy Sauce
Sugar
Mirin
Onion
