How to make linux LIVE usb (2024)
Hello Conrads! Today I am doing a how to on making a live USB for linux, windows, or really any large OS.
I keep seeing a lot of people curious in ditching windows 10/11, and interested in trying out linux without having to install. Wanting to try linux for free.
Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, Mint, virtually all large linux distros can run what's called a "LIVE" environment. The OS will boot off of a USB and load an installable version of the desktop. It will let you see all the features without having to do anything permanent to your computer.
The first step in getting linux onto a computer is to make a LIVE USB.
You can get fedora media writer here: https://fedoraproject.org/en/workstat...
You can download an ISO of some of the more popular Linux OS's here:
Fedora: https://fedoraproject.org/en/workstat...
Linux Mint: https://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
Ubuntu: https://ubuntu.com/download
Debian: https://www.debian.org/download
Any of these will work with fedora media writer.
