How to Make Roles Appear on The Side of Your Discord Server
14In this video I show you how to make roles appear on the side of your Discord server. Discord roles will only appear on the side if the display role members separately from online members option is turned on. This can be turned on through the server settings.
You can choose which roles will appear on the side of your server due to the setting needing to be enabled for each server. Any role that doesn't have the display separately option enabled won't be shown.
For the role category to be seen a member with that role will need to be online. Otherwise, the category won't be shown. Additionally, a member will only appear under their highest role category that is selected to be displayed.
The roles will be appear on the side in the member's list. You can turn on the members list using the button at the top of the Discord server. Additionally, the same button can be used to hide the member's list.
