How To Link Text on Discord (Hide Link Text)
102In this video I show you how to link text in Discord. This allows you to add any text you want and have it be a clickable link. When you make text a clickable link you will hide the link text, removing the actual link from being seen.
You can use link text in Discord when creating info channels and messages. This allows you to link out to any site you would like, without having ugly links. If you want to make your Discord server aesthetic then this is a great option. Additionally, if you're creating a course or featuring a large amount of information then hiding links in text is a great option.
When you link text on Discord the text will become a blue clickable link. Additionally, when a member clicks on the text they will see the preview of the link text.
To link text in Discord you will need to place an open and close square bracket followed by an open and close round bracket. Between the square brackets you place your text, and between the round brackets you place your link.
Discord text that is linked will still post an embedded preview if applicable. IIf you don't want the preview to show up then you can add an open and close pointy bracket on either side of the link, but inside the round brackets.
Alternatively, you can hover over the embed and click the cross to remove the embedded preview after the message has been sent.
