Do you love using Siri but sometimes wish she'd just display the answers silently instead of speaking them out loud? Whether you're in a meeting, a quiet place, or just prefer reading responses, there’s a way to make Siri cater to your needs. In this video I'll show you how to adjust your settings so that Siri stops talking when responding to your questions on your iPhone or iPad. It's a simple tweak, but it can make a huge difference in how you interact with Siri in different environments.
Now let's walk through the steps to make Siri stop talking when responding to questions on your iPhone or iPad.
Step 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. You'll land on the Settings menu.
Step 2. Scroll down this menu until you find Siri and Search, and then tap "Siri and Search." The associated window opens.
Step 3. Navigate to the Ask Siri section, and then tap "Siri Responses." The Siri Responses screen is displayed.
Step 4. Find the Spoken Responses section, and then tap to place a check mark next to "Prefer Silent Responses." Going forward, Siri will respond using text only except when you appear to be driving or using headphones with the screen off.
