Join NeobeowulfX and his kids as they show you how to make a simple yellow cake.

Yellow cake recipe from scratch:
- 2 sticks of softened salted butter (add 1/2 teaspoon of salt if you use unsalted)
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 room temperature eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup buttermilk (use 1 cup milk & 2 tablespoons of lemon juice as a substitute if you don't have buttermilk)

Bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes
