You're going to need a Display Port 1.4 lead!!!!
In this quick video I show you how to fix & solve the problem of your gaming monitor not being able to output at 144hz / 144 fps. What probably happens is that you set it to 144hz in Windows, the screen goes black, and then it reverts to 120fps.
What you'll need to use, instead of a USB lead, is a Display Port lead, and your problems will be sorted!
Then go into display settings, advanced, and up the frame rate.
