Hardcore Minecraft is... hard. Especially when you're as reckless as me. If you make one mistake, you're probably dead. And thank goodness I had a golden apple at this moment because if not, my progress into a 200 hours gameplay on a single world (idea) would be GONE.
Anyways, Hardcore Minecraft, albeit terrifying, is extremely fun and makes Minecraft a completely different game. If you haven't tried it out, you should! It makes you value your respawns. Like... a LOT.
If you want to know why this happened, I was mining for Ancient Debris (bed method) and had gotten so bored that I was no longer looking at the floor. And if you've ever mined for Ancient Debris, you know that random deposits of lava are quite literally EVERYWHERE in the Nether. Also, netherite is AMAZING.
