In this video I go over how to open your Gen 2 Prius trunk from the inside should the auxiliary battery die.

I forgot to mention that if the battery is dead you won't be able to open the door through the power locks. You will have to use the mechanical key and open the driver door first then open the back door and work your way to the trunk.

NOTE: I actually found a way to do it without taking the tray out, there is a cover on the back of the tray you can take off and it give you access to the latch, so either way it'll work =)
