How to Overclock Raspberry Pi 3
52We overclock our Raspberry Pi 3 to see if the menu and N64 games play better. Learn how to do it here.

Locate your Config file using the command line
back up your config file
File/Save as
Scroll down to line 42
It should look like this-
#uncomment to overclock the arm. 700 MHz is the default.
#arm_freq=800
replace #arm_freq=800 with the overclock profile.
1.3ghz GPU 500mhz SDram 500 (WHAT WE DID)
arm_freq=1300

1.35ghz GPU 500mhz SDram 500 (WAS UNSTABLE FOR US)

1.4ghz GPU 520mhz SDRAM 520mhz (NEVER TRIED IT!)

Check if it worked:
Press F4 on your keyboard while running RetroPie and type in this command:
"cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq"
