Pacifist runs are nothing new, but it always seemed like Hollow Knight had this way of forcing you into combat. A lot of encounters cannot be avoided. I looked up some pacifist guides online, on reddit, etc. And the rule sets overlapped a little, but no two sets were ever completely identical.

So I’ve decided to abide by the simplest rule set I can possibly think of:
-If you use a nail or spell, it counts against you. Bar none.
-If you use minions, charm effects, things that AREN’T a nail or a spell, it won’t count against you. Bar none.
I've wanted to see just how much I could limit the nail and spell in the game with the least kills possible, and after counting everything up, it was apparently sub 10. So that's pretty sweet.

*I've also seen multiple pacifist runs throw out the Watcher Knights on their playthrough because they aren't technically "alive," so I guess that would knock this down to 15 if that were the case?
