How to play Aliens vs. Predator 2 or Primal Hunt in WIDESCREEN (Without downloading anything!)

In this video, I show you how to play either Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2001) or Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt (2002) in widescreen mode.
This method also shows you how you may launch the game without the CD disc.

You do not need to download or install ANY THIRD PARTY APPS OR PROGRAMS.
The video demonstrates selecting a 1920x1080 screen resolution, although you can pick any resolution you want as long as the engine supports. Simply change the numbers assigned to the width and height respectively and try to launch the game.



Cheat Sheet

1. Right-click and create a new text file in your AvP 2 or Primal Hunt folder directory.
2. Rename it LaunchWidescreen.bat or whatever name you'd like
3. Edit it in a text editor, like Notepad
4. Add this text to the file using the text editor


START lithtech.exe -cmdfile avp2cmds.txt +GameScreenHeight 1080 +SCREENHEIGHT 1080 +GameScreenWidth 1920 +SCREENWIDTH 1920


5. Save it and launch the game



This will not work if your game is not installed properly or if you did not find the correct folder where your game is installed.


These command parameters may also be used in the game's launcher or any launcher in order to launch the game in widescreen mode.

Problems?
If you do not have the avp2cmds.txt file in your game directory, simply create a new text file with that same name "avp2cmds.txt".
Then paste this text between the '=' into it. Do not copy any of the '=' !!
