How To play Sims 4 on Linux

Instructions:

You will need to go to ( https://steamcommunity.com/#scrollTop=0 ) and download steam if you haven’t already.

You will need to go to ( https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store ) to make an account if you haven’t already.

Install GPU divers and Vulkan ( https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/InstallingDrivers.md ).

Note i’m using Mint Mate 18.3 and have issues using drivers over 418.

You will need a restart after change GPU drivers.

Once rebooted open Steam

Set Proton to 5.13-4 or newer.

Download and install Sims 4

Now enjoy the game.
