Now it's time to get into the different kinds of intervals and how they pertain to playing the guitar. Ben will guide you through the ins and outs of 5th intervals.

The 5th Interval

The 5th interval is the distance between the root note of a major scale and the note that is five scale degrees higher. For instance, if you are in the key of G, the 5th of G is D because D is the 5th note in the G major scale. Count up from the root (see below): G (1), A (2), B (3), C (4), D (5)
