The object of the game is to reach Bowser’s Castle and defeat him in Battle.
At the start of the match, everyone spins the wheel, and the player with the highest value goes first.
If there is a tie, those players should spin until there is a winner.
On your turn, spin and move that number of spaces.
Note that on your first turn you can choose which direction to go.
Once that direction is chosen, you cannot change course.
If you reach a star space, you must stop there even if you have moves left.
You can spend 10 coins to buy a star or collect 5 coins.
If you decide to buy a star, take a star of the color of the space and place it in your character`s base.
Note you can have only 1 star of each color.
If you land on coin, collect or loose the number of coins shown on the space.
If you land on action or minigame spaces, draw the top card of the corresponding deck, read it aloud and do what it says.
Then, return the card to the bottom of the deck.
If you pass by an item, companion or pipe spaces, you may choose to stop and play its effects or continue moving the number of spaces you spinned.
If you stop on an item space, you can draw the top item card and keep it to yourself.
Note that you may only keep one item card in your hand at any time but you can replace it with another item card in case you land on the item space again.
If you stop on companion, draw the top two companion cards, keep one and place it face up in front of you.
Then, return the other to the bottom of the deck.
Companions give their benefits for as long as you have them.
Note that you can only have a maximum of 3 companion cards at a time, but you may trade them for new ones if you stop at another companion space.
And if you land on pipe, you may choose to travel to the pipe space of matching color.
Whenever you have landed on a space and done its related action, your turn ends.
Play continues with the player to your left.
Once you have at least 2 stars, you can go to the Bowser`s Castle Space.
You don`t have to land here by exact count.
For example, the player is 3 spaces away and they spin a 4.
They move to Bowser’s castle and remain on that space even if there was another move left.
Once in the space, spin the wheel.
Every star you have boosts the spin by +1.
For example, if you spin 5 but have 3 stars, your total is 8.
If your total is under 12, Bowser steal all your coins and sends you back to the start, ending your turn.
If your total is 12 or higher, you defeat Bowser and win the game.
The other players should count their coins and stars to determine the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.
Each star is worth 10 coins.
