This video is based on Codecademy's Learn PHP course, we are in the "Intro to Built-In PHP Functions" section, this lesson is "Documentation". In this lesson we go over how to read the PHP documentation. Learning to read any developer documentation can be difficult at first. Different projects document their code in different ways but practicing reading documentation will help you become better at it. Learning how to read PHP Documentation requires to understand how the documentation is organized. We learn that the Documentation includes things like, the name of different functions as well as the PHP version the function is available in. We also are shown an overview of what the function is and how the function works. We are also told the details of the functions parameters and its return value. We are shown examples of how the function works in the documentation. Lastly we are told that their is also comments which further explain features of the function!
