How to read Urdu text | Tutorial in Bengali
6I find it interesting to learn the writing of different languages. I learned Urdu writing 5-6 years ago through the internet only. I had searched Google and read different websites, articles, documents ; I had watched YouTube videos ; I had installed Urdu teaching android apps. Once I tried to learn Japanese writing as well but I have forgotten most of it.
I am not an expert in Urdu. In this video I have tried to explain the little knowledge that I had learned and remember regarding reading Urdu text. I may say something wrong in this video. If you find mistakes then please correct them in the comments section. I'll pin your comment. Also, my pronunciation of Urdu sounds might be far from being accurate. I am sorry for that because my mother-tongue is Bengali, not Urdu.
My sister Biyanka asked me to teach her how to read / write Urdu. I gave her some material through WhatsApp and asked her to go through it and tell me whether she is able to read some Urdu text that I sent her with the materials. She told me, "ami porte parchhi na" which means "I cannot read". Imagine how would you feel when your little sister says she cannot read. It's saddening right? That is why I thought of making this tutorial video to give an idea of how to read Urdu text.
