How to Record Oculus Quest 2 Gameplay Video with Voiceover Mic Commentary?
A step-by-step video guide showing how to record an Oculus Quest 2 gameplay video with a voiceover using an external microphone and sync and combine the two and upload it to YouTube.
I use Windows (PC), USB headphones connected to my laptop computer, Audacity free audio recording software (for voiceover), and Davinci Resolve 17 beta free video editing software.
The gameplay video is recorded using the Oculus Quest 2 built-in recording function. Audio is recorded using Audacity and PC-connected headphones (can be 3.5mm or USB).
The gameplay video is copied from the Oculus Quest 2 video shots folder to the PC. The video and audio track then synced using Davinci Resolve software and rendered as a new video.
