Windows 8 now allows you to refresh or even reset your Windows 8 installation when the system goes slow.

Refresh Mode : This just reset PC to default settings and also fixes any corrupt files etc if any. This is like re installation but only for files.

Reset Mode : This is useful when you want to reinstall completely. So instead of looking around for a Installation Disc or Bootable USB, Use this to restart. Here you will loose all your files, apps etc. You will have to even create new account.

Maintenance Mode : This is automated system in Windows which does System Updates, Driver Updates, Security check in background. So instead of annoying balloon tips etc, you can use this to invoke manually also.
