How to Reset the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 - Netgear Hotspot Tutorial
359Looking to reset or fix your Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 hotspot router? In this tutorial, I show you 2 methods to factory reset the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100. This can be useful if your MR1100 is not working correctly or if you plan on selling it. Performing a hard reset of the Netgear M1 MR1100 is easy and takes less than 5 minutes.

In the factory reset instructions below, method one is useful if the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 is not responsive or not producing a WiFi signal.
How to Reset the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 Method 1:
1. Turn off the MR1100
2. Remove the back cover from the MR1100
3. Locate the reset hole near the micro SD card slot
4. Using a small paperclip gently press the reset button located inside of the reset hole for 10 seconds.
5. After 10 seconds, the Nigthhawk MR1100 will reboot and reset.
6. You have now factory reset your Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 hotspot router.
How to Reset the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 Method 2:
1. Ensure the router is on and you are connected to it.
2. Go to http://192.168.1.1 and login as the administrator.
3. Once logged into the MR1100, go to settings then Administration.
4. In administration, select Factory Reset.
5. Select Reset Defaults
6. Once the Netgear Nighthawk M1 MR1100 hotspot router has power cycled, you have now reset the router.
