How to reset windows 11 with out delete data
Sometimes you just need to restart and reset your Windows 11 operating system. Maybe you made too many settings or registry tweaks and forgot how to change them all back to default. Maybe you have installed software that pollutes your system. Or maybe you want to donate or sell your PC to someone else and you don’t want them to get into your apps or data.
You can download Windows 11 ISO and perform a clean installation, but that is not required. Like Windows 10, Windows 11 has a built-in function that lets you restore your computer to its factory settings, delete all installed applications and, if you choose, erase all your data. You can even "clean the drive" so hackers who try to delete your files after a Windows 11 reset will not be able to.
How to reset Windows 11
1. Open settings.
2. Navigate to System Restore.
3. Click Reset.
4. Select either "Save my files" or "Delete all." If you do not want your data files to be deleted go with the previous one. If you plan to hand over the computer to someone else, go with the latest ones to make sure they don't get your data. In any case, make sure that any files you want to keep are backed up somewhere before resetting Windows 11.
5. Choose between "Cloud download" and "Local reinstall." If your system is in good condition and you want to clear your settings and data and restart, resetting is the way to go. If you feel like you have corrupted system files, moving and downloading with Cloud can help you.
6. Click Next if you're ready with settings and don't wish to "clean up drive."
If you delete all the files and want to clean the drive (when deleted files will be more difficult for hackers to find), you can click on "Change settings" and enable "Clean data?" This will add many hours to the reset time so do it only if you are really worried that someone else will find this PC and use some kind of uninstalled software to delete your files. If you are selling or donating your computer, it may be good.
7. Click Reset.
