How To Restore Old Right Click Menu In Windows 11
The new right-click menu on Windows 11 looks a tad different from the one we came to get used to in earlier versions of windows. This is both when you right-click on a file or on the desktop itself.
It may therefore pose a few problems to users before they actually get used to it or come to appreciate it. Despite its neat look and simplicity, you can still get back your old right-click menu that you were used to.
This video simply explains how to do just that, using the commands highlighted below and the command prompt (cmd).
Command to show OLD right-click menu:
reg add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\inprocServer32" /f /ve
Command to show NEW right-click menu (not shown in video):
reg delete "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}" /f
Note: Make sure you run the Command Prompt as an Administrator.
