If you want to remove a conversation from your Facebook Messenger, you can archive it. The conversation will be hidden from the Messenger chats but it won't be deleted.
It's a better way than deleting an entire chat from Facebook Messenger
How To Archive Chats On Facebook Messenger
Launch Facebook Messenger
Find the conversation you'd like to archive
Swipe the conversation to the left to access the options. For Android users, tap and hold the conversation until the popup menu appears
Tap on Archive
To access the archived conversations on iOS, tap on the hamburger icon at the top left corner, then tap on Archive.
For Android users, tap on your profile icon at the top left of the screen, then tap on Archived Chats
