How to Retrobrite Inside and build a Retrobright station, tips & tricks to restore yellowed plastic
In this video I upgrade my retrobrite ( retrobright / retr0brite ) station. which allows me to retrobright indooors / inside! This is a full walkthrough of the process I went through to create my retrobrite ( retrobright / retr0brite ) station and my results obtained. It also shows you how to build your own retrobrite ( retrobright / retr0brite ) station for restoring yellowed plastic! Please see the links below to make your own set-up overall this didn't take more than 1 hour to get set-up start to finish. I also outline in the video various tips and tricks to help you if you want to attempt this yourself. The knowledge I share throughout this video I have accumulated through years of experience of retrobriting ( retrobright / retr0brite ) and many trials and errors. I am, however, always still learning so if you have suggestions or advice, please share!
I know one of the comments I will get is why not just retrobrite ( retrobright / retr0brite ) outside. The answer for me is simple... I live in an area without much sunlight and the sunlight I get tends to be inconsistent depending up on the season I am in. I wanted to make a set-up where I could get consist results every time I use it. Consistency is the key to getting really good results.
The container to use for your retrobrite station is up to you, but I used a 54 Gallon Rubbermaid Storage bin. Here is a link to it:

This is honestly overkill for most... my V1 set up is a cardboard box that 20" x 20" x 15" - This was free.

Here is what I am using to put on the console it is Salon Care 40 volume creme you can pick it up a Sally Beauty very cheap:

You will also need some cling wrap as the key is to not let the creme dry. I take more industrial approach and use the following:
