This guide will show you how to roll back a device driver to an earlier version in Windows 11.

If the option is grayed out, it means the driver hasn’t been updated yet, so you won’t be able to revert to a previous version.

The Roll Back Driver option in Device Manager, available in all Windows versions, allows you to uninstall the current driver and automatically reinstall the previous version.

This feature is often used when a driver update causes issues, such as failing to fix the intended problem or introducing new problems. Rolling back the driver offers a quick and easy way to revert to the prior version.
