How to Search for Friend on Steam Deck and Add them (Fast Tutorial)
2To search for a friend and add them on your Steam Deck, follow these steps:
1. Open the Steam Menu:
Press the Steam button on your Steam Deck to bring up the main menu.
2. Navigate to Friends & Chat:
Scroll down and select Friends & Chat from the menu.
3. Search for a Friend:
In the Friends & Chat window, you'll see an option to Add a Friend at the top.
Click on Add a Friend to open the friend search screen.
In the search bar, enter your friend’s Steam username, email address, or friend code.
4. Find and Select Your Friend:
Browse the search results to find the correct friend.
Once you locate your friend’s profile, click on it to open their profile page.
5. Send Friend Request:
On your friend’s profile page, click the Add as Friend button to send a friend request.
Your friend will receive the request and can accept it.
6. Check Friend Requests (Optional):
If someone sends you a friend request, you'll see a notification in the Friends & Chat section.
Open the notification, review the request, and click Accept to add them to your friends list.
