How to secure a base and leave it
Defending your base is paramount in the zombie apocalypse. Often zombies have a place to be and don't care if your silly little windows or doors are in the way, they will persist until all things are broken.
To combat this you have a few options. Barricade with furniture or dive into carpentry! However, as I was preparing my house for the zombie onslaught a new challenger appeared. The helicopter event ran me out of my base into a backup base to start all over at. Luckily the event was short, but I've grown attached to my new home. It's got a TV in the bedroom. That's pretty cool.

I'm playing this on Build 41 of Project Zomboid which includes updates to the animations in the game, a new clothing system, a number of new weapons and items to expand the gameplay, as well as a HUGE code overhaul. Hopefully we'll be getting multiplayer soon!
