If you are the organizer of a meeting scheduled in Outlook, you can recall the meeting request simply by canceling the event. When you cancel the event, the scheduled meeting is removed from the recipients’ calendars. You can optionally include a message to explain the schedule change. When you cancel a meeting in Outlook, all attachments and notes for the event are also deleted.
