How to Send a Message & Text on Xbox App (Easy Tutorial)
3Here’s how you can send messages and texts using the Xbox app on different platforms:
Xbox Console:
If you have a game running:
Press the Xbox button 🎮 to open the guide.
Select Parties & chat - New chat.
Enter a gamertag or choose someone from your friends list.
Type your message and select Enter. For voice chats, press the View button 🎙️ while wearing a headset to record your message.
When you’re satisfied, hit Send message.
Xbox App for Mobile:
Open the Xbox app on your mobile device:
Go to the Social tab.
Select a profile from your friends list and send a message.
Alternatively, click the New chat icon, choose friends, and compose your message.
Press Enter to send.
Xbox App for Windows:
Open the Xbox app on your Windows device:
Navigate to the Friends tab.
Start a chat by selecting a friend or searching for their gamertag.
Type your message and hit Enter.
