25After some adversity, it's time to try and cast The Last Spell once more. Fortunately, our mage circle is intact, but now with enemies swarming from multiple directions I need a better plan. And that better plan involves an unassuming tiny crossbow.
The Last Spell is a game that promises a lot: tactical combat and city building on top of surviving wave after wave of hellish creatures attempting to tear it all down. The art direction is solid and the soundtrack is amazing. But presentation aside, I'm happy to report that even in Early Access the gameplay loop works and works quite well. There's solid Meta Progression to help you continue to build towards something bigger, but for now one rule is clear: you will die. A lot. The fates have great designs for you, Commander.
