Things are wrapping up in this run of Remnants of the Precursors, and as we approach turn 250 it's not the Silicoids that are in pole position. Instead it comes down to seeing just how hard I can play two AIs against each other, where the Klakon have pushed super hard into Raptara space and the Raptara have done little to mount a comeback. There's probably not a lot of time left, but that Galactic Council vote certainly has some interesting information for us. We may not be out of the (space) woods just yet, but may this save isn't as "over" as I thought.

Remnants of the Precursors is a rebuild of the 4x classic Master of Orion, a game that digs deep into the four fundamentals of explore, exploit, expand, and exterminate. The game pits a number of different sci-fi races and cultures against each other both for galactic domination and to find out the truth behind old technology left by the aptly named Orions. Players can choose to peacemonger their way into the helm of the galactic council, or you can design your own ships and obliterate other planets from orbit. The important decisions come early, and the game gives you a lot of options for how to tackle problems. But at the end of the day, not everyone you encounter will be friendly. Is it time to open fire and engage?

This run is unmodded. In future runs I'll be using/showcasing some mods but I wanted to keep it more straightforward at the start. However, AI personalities are randomized.
