I tried my best to not be a jerk to Provost Baird. But as I go through the concluding portion of Starsector story content in the 0.95a update, all I'm left with is a sense of wanting more. What's next. Why are the Gates both singing and crying. Will the pirates hate us any more than they already do? And what about the other factions? There's a lot that won't be revealed until later, leaving open the possibility of me just doing my own thing in the sector until that point.


Still, I was expecting a bit more of a fight near the end. Guess we are finally too powerful.


Starsector is a game where you get together a squad of spaceships and try to carve your own place out in the stars. Will you turn a profit from trade? Or how about shoot down some pirates to defend a fringe colony? Bounty hunting sound good, or how about becoming a pirate yourself and turning the tables? The galaxy is open to you, just be wary of any AI you might bump into along the way. Although this game is still in Alpha and in deep development, this is one of the greatest games I have ever played and I am very excited it won the viewer's choice selection. The mechanics are deep. The lore is interesting. And once you get your feet wet there are all sorts of mods out there to play with.

The only changes from vanilla is that I went into the settings and changed the maximum deployment points from 400 to 700 and to change the settings so the screen doesn't white out when I blow up a big ship.
