Crossplay is officially live in apex legends with the release of the aftermarket event. I've put together this easy guide on how to get set up on Crossplay on console in Apex Legends season. I give you views of the Xbox and the PS4 for crossplay in this video but it's more or less the same for PC players as well. The mechanics to invite cross platform friends is fairly easy but there are a few situations, particularly on xbox where there are other settings that need to be changed to enable crossplay. I cover those in this video as well.

I've played crossplay a bit so far and it's definitely really exciting. The gameplay itself isn't any different but the games load a lot faster and it feels like there are more people in the player pool at each skill level. I think the friend system might take some getting used to but will definitely be a good thing for the game.

By the way in case you didn't see how the matchmaking works. Basically console players will be auto crossplay by default and pc will remain on it's own. The only time console players play with pc players is when a party has both console and PC players. This protects console (controller) players from the power of mouse and keyboard players on pc.
