Decided that it is time to start speedrunning but you are not sure what you need to do to get started? This is the video for you! In today's video I will go through how to set up your speedrun stream and make sure that your runs gets accepted on the leaderboards. It is as easy as this! No need for any further knowledge to just start running!
First of all we will go through the two fundamental pieces of software you need before you can start to speedrun and how to set these up on a basic level to be able to speedrun, and after that to round up this video I will go through what steps you should take in recording and creating the video to make sure that you do not get any problems with getting your runs vertified!
The softwares we will cover in this video are Livesplit, LivesplitOne and OBS Studio. The first two are different timers, Livesplit for Windows users, and LivesplitOne as a browser based version that is useful for people on Mac or Linux machines. OBS is the broadcasting and recording software I personally use to record and send my speedruns live!
