About this video: In this video, I go over how to setup VotingPlugin in order to allow you to vote on a #MinecraftServer. voting is a great way to help grow a Minecraft server and get new players, but setting it up can be a bit difficult. That is why I made this video to show you exactly how to set up voting on your Minecraft server in order to help your server grow!
First and foremost, you will need to install two plugins in order to set up voting on your server. The first is NuVotifier. This is what looks for and receives the votes from the voting sites. The second is #VotingPlugin. This is what gives players the links in order to go to the voting sites. It also gives players rewards for voting. You can find the download links for NuVotifier and VotingPlugin the description above. Installing them is as easy as putting them in your plugins folder.
After you have both of these plugins installed, we need to setup NuVotifier. Open up the NuVotifier config and make note of the port. You need to make sure this is port forwarded. After that, you need to get your public key from the 'rsa'. You will need this when setting up your server on #Minecraft voting sites. At this point, you actually need to go set up your server on any voting sites you want to use.
After NuVotifier is set up, you need to setup VotingPlugin. In order to setup VotingPlugin, you will need to find the 'VoteSites.yml' file. Once you've found that, it is time to fill out the example vote site. You can then copy and paste that site replacing any information you need to change for additional voting sites. You can add as many voting sites as you want in order to promote your server in as many places as possible!
We do still need to set up rewards though. Make sure you are using the correct formate for Voting Rewards. I go over this in the video. It shows you exactly how to get any rewards you want setup by activating them via the console. From crate keys to claim blocks to in-game money, you can reward it all via VotingPlugin rewards.
After you have VotingSites setup, restart your server. Then, you can go vote for your server. It will now work assuming you entered the right public key. I would also recommend going through the VotingPlugin config. There is a ton of useful things in there that you will most likely want to change, so be sure to check them out.
You can also check out all of the in-game commands VotingPlugin has to offer with the /vote help and /av help commands. This will allow you to make sure you are super familiar with the plugin.
