Like, Hiding the names and overlays in The First Descendant will give you a clearer display but you will not know about the status or information about your gameplay. This might become a problem during hard fights but other than that it does look great to the eye.
On the other hand, showing the status options from your First Descendant screen will give you more edge in the actual gameplay. You will have more knowledge about the things around you in the game and can decide your actions according to that. But the screen will look really unpolished and complicated to the eye so there lies the problem.
But anyway, you can always change this setting to your preference so there isn't any problem either way
