How to skip half of Dark Souls Remastered
skip found by speedrunners and works in dark souls remastered
Kiln skip, Homeward wrong warp.
HOW TO MAKE THIS SKIP:
Requirements: 12 faith, 2 spell slots, 2 talismans in both hands, 2 miracles bought from Petrus of Thorolund: Homeward and Force.
Sequence:
1. Place the Lordvessel and rest near it.
2. Teleport to the bonfire "Undead Parish".
3. There jump onto railing. Run upward, then turn over your right shoulder and then jump. Do plunge attack to land succesfully. Walk towards the edge, and position your character so he'll be standing on the railing only with his right foot. His left foot should be hanging.
4. Choose Force and press following buttons at the same time: cast spell with left hand, change spell and cast spell with right hand. Your hands will start to shine and the miracle combined of two miracles will push the character off the railing.
IT'S IMPORTANT:
It'll be good if you train "shining hands" part first by pressing buttons while stannding on the firm ground. You won't be able to do futher part of the skip, yet you'll get the notion how to press buttons without wasting the time by jumping on the railing for nothing. It takes rather strict timing which depends of your keyboard and mouse. Some say, that you have to press casting miracle with your left hand and changing spell at the same time and then after the very very slightest delay press cast spell with right hand. However, it works for me by pressing this all together.
5. After the character slipped off the railing and when the world starts to fade, the character begins teleporting somewhere. Now is the time to rest near the bonfire. Press that button.
When it's done right, you'll be teleported into kiln of the first flame.
