With Cerbios being one of the few custom BIOS out there for the original Xbox which is still getting modern updates, many people have been using it as a go-to for their TSOP flashed or chipped consoles. Softmod users have not been able to utilize Cerbios until recently with a new update that allows for Boot From Media (BFM) compatibility! This enables softmodded Xbox owners to keep their console softmodded, never have to open it for a hardmod, and utilize Cerbios! Not all of the features of Cerbios will be available to softmod BFM users, however some of the standout features such as CCI compatibility will work.

This tutorial will walk through the process of setting up a USB flash drive for the original Xbox, transferring over the required files, how to launch the softmod installer, and install the softmod. The last steps will also cover EEPROM backup, Cerbios customization, and how to update Cerbios in the future!
