It turns out that to complete the cable puzzles in Biomutant, you need to get the green X's to be the same as the grey X's. To do this, move the plugs around to the correct slots.

White X's add to the green X's, and yellow X's subtract from the green X's. Don't pay attention to the wires, they don't mean anything, pretend they don't exist. All that matters is putting the plugs in the correct slots.
